Accademia Melitalia is an Italian language institute built specifically for Sri Lankan children living in Italy. Classes are taught in Sinhala or English — so your child truly understands, not just copies words from a board.
When a child moves from Sri Lanka to Italy, everything doubles — they must learn new subjects while simultaneously learning a new language. Our programme resolves that, quickly and systematically.
Any child currently attending an Italian school — whether they arrived last month or have been in Italy for a while and are still struggling to follow lessons.
We teach Italian through either Sinhala or English, depending on how your child thinks. This means they understand the logic of the language — not just memorise phrases they cannot use.
Our goal is for your child to study History, Science and every other subject in Italian entirely on their own — without needing a translator beside them.
We call it the Hybrid Method. It is a structured, three-part system that has helped over five-hundred children make real, measurable progress in Italian.
Every Saturday, your child joins a focused 2-hour lesson in a small group. We work through the official Melitalia textbook — covering grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, step by step. Because the group is small, each child receives individual attention from a qualified Italian teacher.
Once a week, after school, your child joins a 1-hour speaking practice. This is where they learn to actually speak in Italian — not just read from a page. Real questions, real conversations, real responses. This session is where confidence is built fastest. Many parents notice a difference within weeks.
You will never have to wait until the end of term to know how your child is doing. Through the Accademia Melitalia App — available on any smartphone — you can see test results, what was covered each week, and written feedback from the teacher, at any time that suits you.
We believe every parent deserves to know exactly what they are paying and exactly what they receive in return. Here is a full breakdown.
We offer two groups. Both receive the same curriculum and the same quality — only the day and time is different. Spaces in each group are limited, so we recommend registering early.
At the end of the programme, every child who completes the course receives an Attestato di Partecipazione — a formal Italian certificate that recognises their hard work, dedication and progress throughout the year.
Each group has a limited number of seats. Once full, we cannot add more children mid-course. If you have questions before enrolling, you are very welcome to message us on WhatsApp — we respond promptly and are happy to help you decide which group suits your family best.
